My babies are not so much babies this week.
My youngest is refusing a bottle. (I know some of you may be thinking, "She still takes a bottle at almost 2?!" But let me just say, it was only one, in the morning, and since I didn't get to nurse either of my girls, its the closest I get to what you mothers enjoyed - probably even annoyingly - on a multiple-times-a-day basis for the first years of their young lives.) She just wants to get up and start eating breakfast. No cuddle, no loving, just eating. By herself, thank you very much.
And my oldest has her first loose tooth. This is so s-t-u-p-i-d (we don't say that word in my house, so I have to spell it, don't you know.) but I about cried when I saw it! My sweet little girl's mouth is going to turn into a jumbled mess of holes and over-sized teeth and mismatched patterns of ups and downs...mercy. It helps NOTHING that it happens to be the first tooth that came in on Easter Sunday 6.5 years ago. Perhaps she'll lose it on Easter Sunday and make it a perfect anniversary. I'm sure I'll cry whenever it comes out.
This past week time has seemed to fly by me at warp speed as I try and hang on to the itty-bitty-ness of my girls. I don't think its working....
What about you? As spring is fast upon us, any changes happening that you find yourself digging your heels in over? Do tell...don't let me think I'm the only one like this!
