Shameless Advertising
Hey ya'll. Just wanted to let you know that tomorrow starts the consignment sale at Shady Grove with baby, girl, boy and maternity clothes, toys and equipment. I peeked in last night and let me tell you: there's some GOOD stuff in there! With the way the economy is right now, everyone can use a little tightening of the purse strings. But if your kids are still in need of bigger sizes, or you are getting ready for a baby and need some stuff, the consignment sale is a great way to get what you need without breaking your budget. Some stuff isn't just gently used, its brand new! Also, to be fair to the other consignment sales I know are going on: Covenant United Methodist Church on High Point Road in Greensboro and Guilford College United Methodist Church on Fleming in Greensboro are this weekend as well. Next weekend Kernersville Wesleyan Church and Main Street United Methodist church, both in Kernersville will be hosting their consignment sales. I've been to all of them and they all have usually have a nice selection. I may have missed some, so if you are in need, check around. There may be some in your area going on right now too! Happy shopping and saving!

Fun Friday Truth
Okay, so its not Friday. But Friday I was busy with "life" happening around me till I was 'bout dizzy. Here's a great quote, don't know who authored it, that made me smile and thankful:
"God believes in me,
so my situation is never hopeless.
He walks beside me,
so I am never alone.
God is on my side,
so I can never lose."
Dear friends, if on this Monday you are struggling, with attitude, family, work, finances, relationships of any sort, or just your current mood...Jesus loves you. The favorite child of God Almighty, is in love with you. He can't stop thinking about you and watched you sleepily open your eyes this morning, singing you a good-morning-song. You may not have heard it, but His voice stilled the angels working invisibly above you and they were in awe at the sound of His voice. And He sang for you. Because He loves you. Get it friends. Get that thought embedded in your brains this day. Before the dust of this world settles on you so thick you can't see straight. Jesus loves you. And because of that your "situation is never helpless", you are "never alone" and you "can never lose." Not today. Not any day.
Anyone else need that word-picture besides me today? 13 days till study starts! Do you have your book yet?

Fun Friday Truth
A dear friend got me a quote-of-the-day-calendar for Christmas and today's quote is hilarious:
"Mental floss regularly with God's Word to avoid truth decay."
Is that not great or what? Not only very funny but also very true. I could type paragraphs on all the implications, but I'll spare you. Instead, just let your mind dwell on it for a while till your mental fingers get prune-y...see if God doesn't have a word for you in that quote.

Some Great Ideas
Hey friends! Have you been to the Living Proof Ministries Blog today? Melissa (younger daughter to Beth Moore) wrote a post requesting help on how to save at the grocery store. Last I saw, she had about 417 comments and as I scrolled through them, I found some great tips. There were even some websites I hadn't heard of that help you get coupons and save big at the store!
So, head on over there to check it out! You'll have to click on COMMENTS at the bottom of her post dated January 8, 2009 in order to find the good ideas. Hope you enjoy! (There is also a link to their blog on the right of this page. I was going to write a separate post about the links I've listed, but just hadn't gotten around to it yet.)
